ABOUT

My Approach

I focus on providing a safe, supportive relationship with my clients.  People are often wounded in relations with others and I believe that creating a healthy relationship with my clients is the gateway to healing and growth.  I work from an eclectic approach pulling from family systems, humanistic, attachment, and somatic experiencing theories.  I also incorporate evidenced based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), to assist you in feeling better as quickly as possible.  I work from a holistic approach to therapy, paying attention to the mind, body, and spirit.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#47517) who received my Master’s Degree from New College of California in Social/Clinical Psychology.  I have worked in various settings throughout the bay area including in-patient dual diagnosis adolescent treatment, school based, and school based milieu day treatment programs.  I was also the clinical coordinator at the Native American Health Center and continue to supervise their home visiting parenting program.

Through my experiences I have had the opportunity to work with people from

age five through 92 in various family constellations.  I truly enjoy working with people of all ages, couples, and families.  I believe that my passion and dedication to the art and science of therapy will assist you in having a better relationship with yourself, the people around you and your environment.
